Jordan Valley: Palestinian Child Killed after Playing with Unexploded Ordnance, 2 Seriously Wounded
A Palestinian child died and two were seriously hurt after an IDF unexploded device detonated near Neve Tirtza base in the Jordan Valley, IDF confirms investigation underway.

A Palestinian child was killed today after playing with an unexploded ordnance left by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) near the firing ranges of the Neve Tirtza base in the Jordan Valley.
Two other children were seriously injured in the explosion, according to reports from Palestinian sources and confirmed by Israeli media.The incident occurred in a restricted firing zone adjacent to the Neve Tirtza military camp in the northern Jordan Valley.
The three children reportedly found the unexploded device and were playing with it when it detonated, resulting in one fatality and severe injuries to the others.
In a statement, the IDF said: "A short time ago, IDF forces were dispatched to the area of Camp Tirtza in the Jordan Valley Brigade following a report of three Palestinians injured as a result of playing with an IDF unexploded ordnance. The IDF emphasizes that this area is a firing zone and entry to it is strictly forbidden and highly dangerous. The forces provided initial medical treatment to the injured at the scene. The incident will be investigated."
