Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam announced today (Thursday) that the Lebanese Army has successfully dismantled over 500 sites belonging to Hezbollah south of the Litani, according to Kann reporter Roi Kais.

The Lebanese government has repeatedly stated the seriousness of its intentions to ensure the implementation of UN Resolution 1701 and the ceasefire agreement, both of which require that the area south of the Litani River be demilitarized, with the sole exception of the official Lebanese Army.

The IDF has conducted targeted strikes against any attempt to rebuild terrorist infrastructure anywhere in Lebanon, especially in southern Lebanon and in the Bekaa valley. They also reportedly provided the Lebanese Army with needed intelligence to dismantle about 80% of the sites it has demolished.
