BREAKING: Missile launch from Yemen | WATCH

The IDF announced a short time ago today (Tuesday) that a missile launch was detected from Houthi-controlled Yemen, and that sirens were triggered due to this detection.

Here are the two statements released by the IDF:

"Initial report - The IDF has identified the launch of a missile from Yemen toward Israeli territory, IAF aerial defense systems are operating to intercept the threat.

The public is requested to follow the Home Front Command’s defensive guidelines."

"Initial report - Sirens sounded in several areas in Israel following a projectile that was launched from Yemen. The details are under review."

The Israel Police announced that following the triggering of sirens in the center and Shfela areas, it is now searching for fallen missile fragments in the area.

The IDF has now announced that the missile was intercepted:

"Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in several areas in Israel, a missile launched from Yemen was most likely intercepted.

"Additional interceptors were launched due to the possibility of falling shrapnel from the interception.

"Sirens were sounded in accordance with protocol."
