Discharged soldier Daniel Aslan killed in Tiberias scooter ambush
Aslan, 22, was riding a scooter in Tiberias when he was fatally shot; he managed to say Shema Yisrael before he died.



Daniel Aslan, a 22-year-old discharged soldier from Moshav Kfar Hittim in the Lower Galilee, was murdered last night (Sunday) in Tiberias due to a case of mistaken identity.
He had gone out to celebrate his cousin's birthday, and at some point, he got on an electric scooter and was shot by assailants. He was taken in critical condition to Poria Hospital in Tiberias, and shortly after, doctors were forced to pronounce him dead.
His mother, Avital Aslan, shared with great pain, "We heard from the paramedic that Daniel managed to say the Shema Yisrael and shortly after, he collapsed. The medical team told us that after 20 minutes, the bullet reached the heart, and all the systems in his body collapsed. The doctors said that even if they had been near the shooting scene, they wouldn't have been able to save him because the bullet hit the heart. After he was shot, he still managed to say "They shot me, they shot me."
Three individuals were murdered during the night (Sunday to Monday) in three violent incidents. In Umm al-Fahm, a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stabbing his 60-year-old mother to death and moderately injuring his pregnant wife. In Dabburiya, a 27-year-old man was shot dead, and the incident in Tiberias.
