In a case that has sent shockwaves through the region, Jerusalem District Police have finally lifted a gag order, revealing the bone-chilling details behind the disappearance and murder of Moshe Tzabari. The nightmare began on December 8, 2025, when Moshe Tzabari was reported missing. The investigation took a dark turn days later when his vehicle was discovered in the Malachim Forest, not abandoned, but torched to a crisp in an apparent attempt to erase forensic evidence.

The search eventually led the Jerusalem Central Unit (YAMAR) to a desolate area near Kfar Zoharim, where investigators made a grim discovery: Tzabari’s body had been dumped inside a deep, hidden well.

Working under a strict gag order and in coordination with the State Attorney's Office, detectives tracked a 27-year-old suspect from the city of Lod. On December 28, 2025, police moved in.

The arrest was a race against the clock. According to police spokespeople, the suspect had already begun moving his life abroad and was prepared to fly out of Israel to permanently evade the law. During the investigation, divers and forensic teams managed to recover the murder weapon, a knife, which investigators believe was used to carry out the brutal act.

While the investigation was complex, the motive appears to be rooted in a "deteriorated relationship" between the victim and members of the suspect's family. This personal vendetta allegedly escalated into a pre-meditated execution and an elaborate attempt to hide the body and destroy the vehicle.

What Happens Next?

Prosecutor's Statement: Filed today (Sunday) in court.

Detention: The court is expected to extend the suspect's remand for an additional 5 days.

Indictment: A formal indictment for murder is expected to be served by the end of the week.
