Tragedy in Netanya: Paraglider Killed in Crash at Wingate Beach
A 42-year-old paraglider was killed Monday after crashing into the rocky coastline of Wingate Beach in Netanya. MDA teams used ATVs to reach the unconscious man, but his injuries were fatal.

A 42-year-old man was killed Monday afternoon after his paraglider crashed into a rocky section of Wingate Beach in Netanya. Despite a complex rescue operation involving the Israel Fire and Rescue Services' elite "Lehava" unit, medical teams were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene.
The crash occurred in a highly inaccessible, rocky area of the shoreline. Magen David Adom (MDA) teams utilized specialized all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) to navigate the water’s edge and reach the site.
Rafi Sheva, a senior MDA paramedic who led the medical team, described the scene:
"We entered the rocky terrain using a dedicated MDA ATV, driving along the shoreline until we reached the vicinity of the casualty. From there, we continued on foot. He was unconscious, with no pulse and no breath, suffering from extremely severe multi-system trauma. After medical examinations, we unfortunately had no choice but to determine his death."
