Netanyahu Blasts Europe’s "Moral Weakness"

Never Again is Now: Netanyahu Compares Iranian Nuclear Sites to Nazi Death Camps

During a powerful Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony, Prime Minister Netanyahu declared that Israel’s strikes on Iran have prevented the regime’s nuclear sites from becoming modern day death camps.

During the central Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony at Yad Vashem, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog delivered pointed messages to the international community, linking the horrors of the past to the current war against the Iranian regime. Netanyahu issued a harsh critique of European nations, accusing the continent of "moral weakness" and forgetting the lessons of the Holocaust. He emphasized that Israel, through its recent military operations "With a Lion's Heart" and "Lion's Roar," has taken its fate into its own hands. The Prime Minister explicitly stated that without Israel’s preemptive actions, Iranian sites like Natanz and Fordow could have become names remembered with the same infamy as Auschwitz and Treblinka.

Moral Clarity and Modern Warfare

Netanyahu’s speech focused heavily on the "sharp distinction between good and evil," a lesson he believes Europe can still learn from the Jewish state. He argued that the rise of global antisemitism and the aggression from Tehran prove that the world remains a dangerous place, but noted that Israel is no longer defenseless. "As Prime Minister of Israel, I promised, 'there will not be another Holocaust.' This year we realized this promise in practice," Netanyahu said, noting that the Iranian regime has been dealt the hardest blow in its history and that most of its military assets have been lost. He also highlighted the unprecedented cooperation with the United States, describing Israeli and American pilots flying "wing to wing" to protect the Middle East.

President Isaac Herzog echoed the call for global action, addressing world leaders directly about the surge in antisemitic violence. "Empty words will not cover for inaction. This is the time for brave deeds," Herzog stated. He spoke movingly of the "spirit of heroism" that connects the survivors of the death camps to their grandchildren and great grandchildren currently serving in the IDF. The President warned against internal division, famously stating, "We did not rise from the fire of the furnaces to be burned in the fire of strife." As the nation pauses to remember the six million, the leadership’s message remained focused on the necessity of strength and unity in the face of a regime that openly seeks Israel’s destruction.
