Netanyahu is considering using reserved slots to bring back sitting lawmakers who tanked in the primary and have little shot at winning seats otherwise.
According to a report by Dikla Aharon on Kan Bet, the main targets are Knesset members Ze'ev Elkin and Hanoch Milwidsky. There's also talk of reserved spots for female lawmakers Kety Shitrit and Tzega Melaku, partly because so few women landed realistic winning positions in the primaries.
The logic varies by candidate: Elkin can mobilize Soviet immigrant voters, a key constituency. Milwidsky has backing from the ultra-Orthodox parties, who are pushing for him to get a reserved slot.
