What Happened in the Interview
The 45-minute segment centered on Israel’s actions in Gaza. Morgan and Smith challenged Hausdorff on allegations of war crimes and the humanitarian crisis, citing reports of civilian casualties, including nine children from a single family killed in IDF bombings (which has never been verified). Hausdorff, a legal expert known for defending Israel’s actions, explained that these claims are fabricated and/or exaggerated by Hamas, arguing that Israel’s operations comply with international law.
Morgan repeatedly interrupted Hausdorff, limiting her responses and expressing disbelief at her rejection of casualty figures.The dynamic grew tense, with Morgan appearing to align with Smith’s critical stance, a departure from his earlier support for Israel’s right to self-defense following the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack.
