In a heart-wrenching tragedy, Tze'ela Gaz, a pregnant mother of three on her way to give birth to her fourth child, was brutally murdered in a shooting attack in Samaria last week. The loss of this vibrant woman, whose life was intertwined with the promise of new life, has left a void filled with grief and outrage.

Beloved writer and content creator Hadassa Ben Ari, in a raw and poignant reflection, captured the collective anguish of a country struggling with yet another senseless act of violence.

Ben Ari wrote: "I am dancing and crying, dancing and crying. Tze'ela Gez, I want the entire country to be washed in the thick blood of your birth. I am burning when I see hollow statements, condolences, 'We will catch the murderers.' I want to die together with you. All the pains of my labors are hitting me this morning, reminding me that at their end, there was life. You will not live in your blood. And when my daughter calls to talk about the attack, I hear the question hanging in the air between us, all the questions one can ask about death and life."

"What story can we tell the children next to the [Lag Ba'Omer] bonfire? Who still has words? I don’t want to wake up tomorrow to another day in a world where a woman in labor is torn from life. I absolutely refuse to continue. The horrors of October 7th will not dull my shock. I dream of a land where I can travel with my children on every road and find in it sky, earth, and life. Is that too much to ask?"
