Six people were injured in a three-vehicle collision on Route 92 near Kibbutz Ramot Monday morning, with two critically injured 20-year-olds airlifted to hospital.
The crash occurred around 10:30 a.m. One vehicle ended up in a roadside drainage ditch. A woman was found unconscious with severe head and limb injuries. A second critically injured victim, also in his twenties, suffered severe abdominal trauma. Both were evacuated by MDA air ambulance to Rambam Hospital in Haifa.
"This was a serious accident," said MDA paramedic Asaf Perlman. "We arrived to find chaos. One vehicle was in the middle of the road, the other in a ditch. A young woman was lying unconscious with head and limb injuries. We provided sedation and intubation before helicopter evacuation."
Four other victims sustained moderate to light injuries. A 17-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy with multi-system trauma were transported to Poriya Hospital in Tiberias. Two others, fully conscious and stable, were also taken to Poriya.
Police closed the road section and opened an investigation into the cause of the accident.
