After the Storm: Security Budgets for the Settlements of Judea and Samaria were Approved

The Finance Committee of the Knesset today (Tuesday) approved a budget request for a total of NIS 75 million for the settlements of Judea and Samaria.

According to the committee's announcement, the funds are intended for the benefit of the current security grants for the settlements of Judea and Samaria. Later, a government decision is expected for an additional budget for additional security equipment and adding stock to the emergency reserves in Judea and Samaria.

Smotrich: "We will not allow the settlers to continue to be abandoned in the face of the many threats"

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich welcomed the decision: "The settlement in Judea and Samaria is the protector of the rest of the country. The absurd situation in which these settlements were discriminated against for many years has stopped. While the percentage of recruitment and mobilization for the war in the south and the campaign in the north, among the residents of Judea and Samaria, is one of the highest."

According to him, "We will not allow the settlers to continue to be left neglected facing the many threats and the complex security situation that results, among other things, from the conduct of the Palestinian Terrorist Authority. By combining budgets for the security components and emergency reserves and changing the perception regarding the Palestinian Terrorist Authority, we will bring peace and a real sense of security to the settlers."
