4 Months Ago: When Netanyahu Threatened to Eliminate Saleh al-Arouri | Watch

Israel, of course, does not take responsibility for the assassination of Saleh al-Arouri in the Hamas offices in Beirut. Likud issued a message to Knesset members and ministers not to comment on the issue, and this after Danny Danon had already leaked and congratulated the IDF for the assassination.

We went back four months, to the government meeting, even before the October 7 attack, when terrorism was rampant in Judea and Samaria. Al-Arouri threatened Israel in a speech and Prime Minister Netanyahu replied to him at the beginning of the cabinet meeting:

"I also heard the arrogant words of senior Hamas official al-Arouri, from his hiding place in Lebanon. He knows very well why he and his friends are in hiding places.

"Hamas and other branches of Iran understand very well that we will fight with all means against their attempts to create terrorism against us - in Judea and Samaria, in Gaza and everywhere else. Whoever tries to harm us, whoever finances, whoever organizes, whoever sends terror against Israel - will pay the full price."

Tonight, al-Arouri paid the price.
