Zohran Mamdani, self-described socialist and Democratic candidate for Mayor of New York City, is set to win a clear if small majority of votes in the upcoming elections in November, according to a ZenithPolls poll released today (Tuesday).

In a four-way election against former New York governor Andrew Cuomo, current Mayor Eric Adams, and perennial Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa, Mamdani wins about half the votes. If Adams doesn't run, he wins 51%. If Cuomo doesn't run, he wins 55%.

Thus, even if all three major opponents decided to agree that two should drop out and Mamdani be faced with a single opponent, he would still be set to win the majority of New Yorkers' votes and be the city's next mayor.
