Israel-Gaza War, Hostage Deal
Gallant: Deepening IDF Operations Makes a More Realistic Hostage Deal Possible
The Defense Minister addressed the intelligence materials collected in Gaza before a government meeting: "We have entered the most sensitive Hamas locations and we are using their intelligence against them."

Before the government convened, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant noted this morning (Sunday) that deepening the IDF operations in the Gaza Strip made a realistic deal for returning the hostages more likely.
Gallant presented the government with the intelligence material captured during the fighting: “We have entered the most sensitive Hamas locations and we are using their intelligence against them. The more we deepen our operations, the closer we get to a realistic deal in order to return the hostages.”
Using Hamas’ Intelligence Against It
According to the Defense Minister, “This morning we are hosting the government meeting at an IDF base in order to show the Ministers our achievements, and present them with findings from Gaza. You can see some of them here - missiles, explosives, mines. On the other side [of the room] we have numerous maps, communication technology, documents, computers, drives.”
He added that “These show us the intelligence that The IDF is using, and not only - these demonstrate that we have penetrated into Hamas’ most sensitive locations. We are using their intelligence against them. We are using their weapons against them.”
