Report: Gunman opens fire on US Embassy in Lebanon

The Lebanese Army reports that they fired upon and wounded the gunman. The US Embassy reports that they are all safe and that the investigation is underway.

A gunman opened fire on the US Embassy in Lebanon today (Wednesday), according to a report by Army Radio.

The Lebanese Army reports that it fired on and injured the gunman.

The US Embassy in Lebanon reports that they are safe and that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Maariv reports that the gunman is suspected to be Syrian and affiliated with ISIS.
