Hero soldier killed
10th fatality since the start of the ground invasion: Master Sgt. Itai Azulay was killed on the Lebanon Border
Azulay is the 10th soldier who has been killed since Israel launched its ground invasion into Lebanon late last Thursday evening.
Master sgt. Itay Azulay (res.) (25) from Oranit fell in battle on the Lebanese border.
The IDF sent ground forces into Lebanon last Thursday night, in what is purported to be a limited, targeted mission focusing on destroying Hezbollah infrastructure and weapons, so that the residents of Northern Israel can return to their homes.
Azulay is the tenth IDF casualty since the start of Israel's ground invasion into Lebanon. He is also the 728th fallen soldier since the start of the war.
In the same incident in which Azulay was killed, two fighters from Unit 5515 were injured severely. They were airlifted to the Rambam Hospital's ER and were immediately moved to the operating room for emergency surgery. Their families have been notified.
