Against the background of the reports of a ground invasion into Lebanese territory, the IDF spokesman announced a short time ago that in accordance with the assessment of the situation, it was decided to order a closed military area in the area Metula, Meshgav Am and Kfar Giladi. As published earlier today, the Wall Street Journal reported that Israeli special forces carried out small, targeted raids into southern Lebanon, gathering intelligence and probing for a possible ground invasion that has just officially begun.

Also, during a meeting of the Minister of Defense with the heads of the authorities in the north, Gallant announced that the next phase in the fight against Hezbollah will begin soon: it will be a significant factor in changing the security situation and will allow us to complete the important part of returning the residents to their homes. We will do that, and as I said here a month ago: we will shift the center of gravity, this is what I say now: we will change the situation and return the residents home whenever the matter requires."
