‘True friend of Israel’: Smotrich honors Mike Huckabee

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich met today (Thursday) with US Ambassador Mike Huckabee, thanking him for his unwavering support for the State of Israel.

According to the Finance Ministry statement, "Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich met today (Thursday) with the incoming US Ambassador, Mike Huckabee, at the Ministry of Finance in Jerusalem. The meeting focused on deepening economic cooperation between the countries, strengthening strategic relations, and promoting joint initiatives in the fields of innovation, infrastructure, and settlement development."

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said that "the State of Israel has no better friend than you. You are a partner in our path, faith, and values. I look forward to deepening the ties between Jerusalem and Washington and establishing the economic and political alliance between Israel and the United States. The State of Israel is at war against the absolute evil of Hamas-ISIS in Gaza. I would like to thank the Trump administration for standing firmly with Israel and for its clear commitment to bringing the 58 hostages home."
