Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be convening a security discussion this evening (Thursday) to discuss the "continuation of the war on the different fronts," according to Channel 13 News.

With the ceasefire in the north entering its second day, the focus is increasingly shifting towards the south and Gaza, where efforts to secure a ceasefire and a hostage deal have been increased by the United States and Egypt.

Netanyahu also has to face continued threats from the Iran-backed Houthi forces in Yemen, as well as Iran's own efforts to bolsters their military program - including its nuclear weapons program.
