The IDF continues to expand its control over the border with Syria, as the IDF Spokesperson in Arabic warned the residents of five villages along the border today (Sunday) to stay at home until further notice.

The warning was issued to the residents of Ofaniya, Quneitra, al-Hamidiyah, Samdaniya al-Gharbiyya, and al-Qahtaniyah on the grounds that fighting in the border area is "forcing the IDF to act."

In addition, the IDF recently seized the Syrian Hermon outpost after it was abandoned by the Syrian Army following the fall of the Assad regime.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Netanyahu said that he instructed the IDF to expand its control over the border buffer zone with the unanimous support of the cabinet.
