Gaza 2.0?

WATCH: Israel blows up terror bases in Jenin

The scale of today's operation, with the destruction of more than 20 buildings, signals what appears to be a new phase in Israel's counter-terrorism strategy in Judea and Samaria, applying tactics more commonly associated with the Gaza conflict to other areas where terrorist infrastructure has been identified.

Jenin

The IDF demolished over 20 buildings in Jenin that military officials say were used as terrorist infrastructure. The operation marks one of the largest military actions in the area since October 7.

The extensive operation in Jenin, a city that has increasingly become a focal point of counter-terrorism efforts, represents what observers describe as a more aggressive approach to addressing security threats in Judea and Samaria. Social media commentators, including prominent tech entrepreneur Hillel Fuld, have noted that the operation reflects lessons learned from the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

"Jenin is the new Gaza," Fuld posted on social media platform X. "Israel seems to have learned its lesson from Gaza, and Jenin, which has become a terror base, is now meeting the wrath of the IDF."

The demolitions come as part of a broader military campaign in northern Samaria, where Israeli forces have been conducting intensified operations against terrorist infrastructure. The IDF has been particularly focused on Jenin, which has seen repeated military operations due to its emergence as what security officials describe as a hub of terrorist activity.
