Knesset Chairman Amir Ohana greets Argentinian Foreign Minister Gerardo Werthein
Amir Ohana greeted the Argentinian Foreign Minister in his office, celebrating the friendly administration of President Javier Milei.

Knesset Chairman Amir Ohana met today (Monday) with Argentinian Foreign Minister Gerardo Werthein in his office today, together with two ambassadors.
In his statement, posted on X, Ohana said that "On behalf of the Knesset, I thanked Minister Werthein and President Javier Milei — the most pro-Israel president in Argentina's history — for their steadfast support of Israel from the first moment, especially in international forums.
Ohana, who has consistently been on the libertarian side of politics, also praised the country's economy policies: "Argentina serves as a model to emulate in its economic policy: what President Milei did for the Argentine economy should be studied in universities worldwide. Milei is returning Argentina to its greatness and making free economy and deregulation a more successful and effective policy than ever before."
He then concluded by saying that "at the end of our meeting, I requested that he also convey my invitation to President Milei to speak before Israel from the podium of the Knesset plenum, as befits the great friend of Israel that he is."
Werthein met previously with Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, who then posted the following statement on X:
"Argentina, under President Javier Milei's leadership, is one of Israel's greatest friends in the world. Argentina shares with us the values of freedom, democracy and a free market.
"Over the past year, Argentina repeatedly proved it knows how to distinguish between good and evil and stood by Israel on the international stage. I was happy to host my colleague, Argentina's Minister of Foreign Affairs Gerardo Werthein, in Jerusalem tonight. The Argentinian economy is undergoing a dramatic change these days, for the better, due to President Milei's bold steps and reforms. We will work together to also strengthen the economic ties between our countries."
Argentinian President Javier Milei has taken a strongly pro-Israel stance since October 7, visiting the destroyed remains of the western Negev and refusing to enforce the ICC warrants against Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
