Right-wing activists blocked the entrance to the Palestinian village of Beit Furik in Samaria on Tuesday afternoon, protesting the deadly terror attack in the Jordan Valley that claimed the lives of two IDF soldiers.

The demonstrators demanded a forceful response from the Israeli government, insisting that “an attack like this cannot go unanswered.” Many called for a large-scale military operation in Samaria, with one protester declaring, “The fate of Jenin is the same as that of Gaza.”

IDF soldiers on the scene forcibly removed the protesters, who claimed they were exercising their right to legitimate dissent. Some accused the soldiers of responding with unnecessary aggression. “We came to protest lawfully, but soon after arriving, the soldiers started humiliating us, cursing at us, and speaking to us disrespectfully,” one activist alleged. Others claimed that security forces physically assaulted a protester, throwing him to the ground.

The activists also accused the soldiers of suppressing documentation of the event. “As soon as we started filming, they grabbed our phones, threw them to the ground, and refused to return them,” one protester said.

Despite the confrontations, the protesters emphasized their support for the IDF’s mission but called for a shift in strategy. “Terror attacks must not go unanswered,” one activist stated. “A targeted offensive must be launched, and the government must establish new communities to strengthen Israeli presence in the region.”
