Senior American official: Trump administration considering "Gaza plan" for Judea and Samaria

A senior American official said that some people within Donald Trump's administration are open to the idea of applying Trump's "Gaza plan" to at least parts of Judea and Samaria, including Israeli-American control and encouraging Palestinian emigration to other countries.

According to the source, these elements within the Trump administration have been discussing the possibility of allowing Israel to annex at least parts of Judea and Samaria and even govern it as an Israel-American concern. They also do not rule out applying the "Gaza plan" idea of encouraging Palestinians residing there to emigrate to Egypt or Jordan.

These discussions are reportedly taking place while Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich is visiting the United States and talking with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

Following the meeting, the two issued a joint statement:

To advance shared economic interests, both sides agreed to strengthen dialogue mechanisms to enhance collaboration in key areas, including economic policy, technology, and financial regulation.

"As longstanding partners, the United States and Israel recognize the vital role of their economic relationship in driving growth and prosperity for both nations. Today's meeting marks a significant step in further strengthening U.S.-Israel economic ties.

"Now, more than ever, a coordinated and forward-looking approach is essential to ensure that this partnership remains a source of economic resilience, innovation, and mutual benefit.
