Report: This is Hamas's response to the hostage deal

According to a report in the Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, Hamas is expected to deliver its final response to the hostage deal already this evening, or at the latest tomorrow morning. According to the report, this is expected to be the response.

After Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave his approval to the hostage deal, all eyes are turned toward the murderous terrorist organization Hamas, which is expected to deliver its response soon.

According to the report in the Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, sources in Hamas speak of progress toward accepting the ceasefire proposal. According to the sources, Hamas has begun notifying several parties that it intends to respond positively to the proposal already tonight or early Friday morning.

These are the full details of the proposal, which has already received Netanyahu's approval:

  • Ceasefire for 60 days. Release of about half of the living hostages – 10 hostages – alongside 18 deceased hostages.
  • On the first day of the ceasefire, 8 living hostages will be released, on day 50 – two additional living hostages.
  • The 18 deceased hostages will be released in three additional phases.
  • Release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons. Their number is still unknown.
  • Increase in humanitarian aid to Gaza. The proposal does not specify the number of trucks or types of goods to be transferred.

It was also reported that Hamas will provide Israel with a list of names of 20 living hostages, and Israel will need to choose from among them which 10 will be released. If terms for ending the war are agreed upon during the ceasefire, an additional 10 living hostages and 12 deceased will be released subsequently.
