Devastating: 19 Year Old Soldier Liran Ben-Tzion Falls in Lebanon

IDF soldier Liran Ben Tzion (19) from Holon was killed and another was seriously wounded after Hezbollah terrorists fired an anti-tank missile (ATGM) that scored a direct hit on a tank in Southern Lebanon.

The tank belonged to Battalion 9 of the 401st Armored Brigade, which is currently conducting operational activity in the western sector.

Following the initial strike, a high-stakes rescue operation was launched to evacuate the casualties. During the extraction, Hezbollah terrorists continued to fire additional anti-tank missiles at the scene, specifically targeting the rescue teams. Despite the ongoing fire, the evacuation was completed successfully, and no further injuries were reported among the rescue forces.

In response to the attack, IDF forces returned fire and struck dozens of targets in the vicinity. The military is currently investigating whether the specific terrorist cell responsible for the missile launch was neutralized in the retaliatory strikes.

Kiran is the 10th fatality since the beginning of the war with Hezbollah, and the 6th IDF soldier to fall in the conflict against the terror group.

Liran will be laid to rest at 6:00pm tonight in Holon.
