Large forces of fire, rescue, Home Front Command, and police were dispatched Tuesday morning to the scene of a direct missile strike in Tel Aviv. While the impact caused extensive destruction to a residential building and ignited several vehicles, only six people were lightly injured and did not require hospitalization.

The Scene of the Impact

Initial investigations indicate the missile was launched from Iran and landed between buildings, carrying an estimated 100 kg of explosives.

MDA emergency medic Yoel Moshe described the scene:

"We arrived within minutes to see destruction, smoke, and commotion. We immediately began scans; four casualties were walking around with light injuries and did not require further medical treatment."

A Major Disaster Averted

The scale of the miracle became clear as responders searched the primary building affected by the blast. It was discovered that the structure had been completely evacuated of its residents because it was designated for TAMA (National Outline Plan) urban renewal and renovation.
