The friction began when Liedke and a group of foreign provocateurs chose to violate international maritime protocols by sailing toward the Gaza Strip blockade. Critics have widely condemned the maritime journey as an idiotic, counterproductive stunt that does absolutely nothing to alter the daily reality or ease the plight of Gazans living under the rule of Hamas terrorists. She went so far as to claim that the female wardens forcibly pushed her to the ground and conducted an invasive body cavity search that amounted to institutional assault.
The Israeli Prison Service has forcefully pushed back against the allegations, refusing to validate the activist's narrative with an internal inquiry.
