An unusual security incident was reported in communities near the Gaza border: a kite with Arabic writing was discovered in Shimchoni Forest. Initial examination by security personnel on the ground indicates the kite originated from the Gaza Strip, though no additional objects that may have been attached to it were located at the scene.

Security forces from the nearby communities of Kfar Aza and Nahal Oz responded to the report, along with IDF units, and began investigating the circumstances of the incident.

The Sha'ar HaNegev Regional Council, which governs the area, stated that current safety guidelines for residents remain unchanged. Council officials added: "We view every incident of this nature in our region with utmost seriousness and are in close contact with security authorities to complete the investigation."
