Israel's meteorological service is warning of unusually severe weather conditions expected to hit the country this weekend, with heavy precipitation, thunderstorms and hail forecast nationwide. Authorities have issued flood warnings for several areas.
Friday's forecast calls for partly cloudy to clear skies with a slight temperature drop, particularly in mountainous regions and inland areas. Despite the cooling trend, temperatures will remain slightly above seasonal averages, with humid conditions along the coastal plain.
Saturday will begin with clear to partly cloudy conditions. Local rainfall may develop over the northern mountain ranges during midday hours. By nightfall, rain is expected to spread across northern and central Israel, accompanied by thunderstorms. Coastal cities face particular flooding risk during this period.
Sunday will see continued partly cloudy skies, with local showers still possible during morning and midday hours. Flash flooding is a concern in eastern parts of the country. Temperatures will drop further, falling slightly below seasonal averages, especially in elevated areas.
