Residents warned to expect sounds of explosions during pre-planned exercises, including some nighttime activity

Israeli military authorities notified residents of the Golan Heights on Sunday that extensive training exercises will take place over the next two weeks in the region. The drills, which involve multiple military units, were planned in advance and will include activities that produce audible explosions, officials said.

According to the announcement, the exercises are part of the IDF's efforts to strengthen readiness and defense along Israel's northern border. Training will occur Sunday through Thursday during two periods: August 30 through September 3, and September 6 through September 10. Residents should expect to hear explosion sounds during these dates, with some activities continuing into nighttime hours, potentially after 11:00 PM. Military officials emphasized that the drills are routine training operations and do not reflect any security incident or change in safety guidelines for local residents.

As part of the training program, the 210th Division will conduct a divisional-level exercise in the Golan on Wednesday between 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM. The military warned that security forces and military vehicles will be moving actively throughout the sector during this time. Communities participating in the exercise will receive advance notification through their local security coordinators, according to the announcement.
