Knesset member Taly Gotliv unleashed a scathing attack Monday on the IDF Spokesman's response to the makers of the NAZA documentary, in which two Israeli filmmakers depicted the IDF as committing war crimes.
Gottlieb Slams IDF Spokesman Over Film
Knesset member Tally Gotliv lashed out at IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Efi Defrin after he asked to screen the controversial documentary that portrays the IDF as committing war crimes
Earlier in the day, IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Efi Defrin reached out to the creators of NAZA with a request: "In order to enable a substantive, professional and informed discussion, and not to settle for false presentations, I invite the filmmakers to allow IDF representatives to view the full film, so that we can respond substantively to each of the claims raised in it."
Gottlieb fired back sharply at Defrin's approach: "IDF Spokesman, what's wrong with you?? A delusional and disgraceful response in the context of this horrific film that aids our greatest enemies. The spokesman in all his stupidity: 'Let us watch the film so we can respond substantively.' I wouldn't leave the spokesman in his position for a minute."
"The spokesman's response should have been that these are delusional, malicious, baseless lies for the sake of the state's resilience and the IDF's resilience," she added.
