IDF kills Hamas Nukhba commander from October 7 massacre

Three years after the massacre, the campaign to eliminate those involved continues: the IDF confirmed Monday that the terrorist Ibrahim Mustafa Suleiman Abu Oweimer was eliminated in an IDF and Shin Bet strike over the weekend in the Nuseirat area of central Gaza.

Abu Oweimer was a Nukhba platoon commander in the military wing of Hamas who raided Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre. According to the IDF, "in recent times, the terrorist advanced terror operations against IDF forces and Israeli civilians and worked to restore the capabilities of the Hamas terror organization, in systematic violation of the ceasefire. The terrorist was eliminated from the air in order to remove the threat he posed."

The IDF Spokesperson stated that "IDF forces under Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to act to remove any immediate threat."

The current strike is the latest in a long series of eliminations in Gaza targeting Hamas terrorists who participated in the October 7 massacre. Just yesterday, the elimination was reported of the Nukhba terrorist Zaqar Nabil Musa Qisi, who in addition to his activity in the terror organization also served as director of the Turkish charity Deniz Feneri, which presents itself as a humanitarian aid organization but in practice maintains ties with senior figures in the Hamas leadership and with figures in the Turkish leadership. In his role at the charity, the terrorist worked to employ numerous terrorists on a permanent basis and to provide financial support to Hamas terrorists.

The IDF also eliminated Muad Jamal Abu Nusaira, a commander in the military wing of Hamas, and Mahmoud Ibrahim Dib Alyan, a terrorist in the organization's observation apparatus. The two advanced terror operations against IDF forces in the Yellow Line area of Gaza and worked to restore the organization's capabilities.
