The Israeli Prime Minister's account marked the eve of October 7 with something nobody expected: a Lego-style cartoon.
"Terrorism is Not a Game. Remember October 7th," the caption reads. The video underneath runs about 79 seconds and takes on the charge that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.
It starts where the accusation does, with toy protesters waving Palestinian flags and holding a sign that says "Israel Commits Genocide." Then it rewinds to the morning of October 7. Houses burn. A pickup truck drives off with hostages. Hamas, the narrator says, "massacred civilians and took hostages."
Next come the tunnels, with armed figures moving through ruins and underground passages built, in the video's words, "within civilian neighborhoods and beneath their streets."
Then a classroom, and a lesson in what the word genocide means: a specific "intent to annihilate" a group "in whole or in part."
The video argues Israel's conduct shows the opposite. A phone lights up with an evacuation warning telling people to leave the area, one of millions Israel sent, according to the narration. A clinic scene says nearly 560,000 children in Gaza were vaccinated.
Near the end, armed figures stand next to a pile of weapons. "The path to ending this war is clear," the narrator says. The last shot is an Israeli family rebuilding their damaged home under an Israeli flag, "so Israeli children can grow up in safety."
The post has been viewed millions of times. Most of the replies went after the format, like "Netanyahu is posting Lego videos now," and left the argument itself alone.
