The Israel Meteorological Service issued a forecast this morning pointing to a dramatic atmospheric shift, with an autumn sharav on its way to the region. Starting tomorrow, temperatures are expected to begin climbing, and by Friday and Shabbos the country will experience sharav conditions with dry, hot weather.
According to the forecast, the peak will be felt across the country with temperatures reaching approximately 38°C (100°F) in the Jordan Valley, 35 to 37°C (95-99°F) in the Shfela lowlands, and above 30°C (86°F) in the mountain regions and coastal plain. The sharav weather will be accompanied by severe dry conditions due to extremely low relative humidity, alongside strong easterly winds that will include gusts of 40 to 50 km/h (25-31 mph), particularly during the morning hours on Friday.
