Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a sharp video message in which he accused Ofer Winter, head of the Amcha Yisrael party, and Avigdor Liberman, head of Yisrael Beiteinu, of coordinating behind the scenes to block a right-wing government. According to Netanyahu, the two politicians are "locked together" despite their public attacks on each other.
"Want to hear something strange? Have you noticed that Winter barely attacks Liberman? That he's constantly attacking me and the Likud?" Netanyahu opened. He recalled that several days ago, Winter said he had made a mistake when he recommended Netanyahu for prime minister.
"Now, a few days before the election, he and Liberman are attacking each other for show. But in reality, they're locked together," the prime minister claimed. According to Netanyahu, the two men's shared plan is "to prevent a right-wing government under my leadership, and to force on Israel a government where Liberman is prime minister and Winter is defense minister, or to force repeated elections until they succeed in achieving that goal."
