Pollster Mano Geva, whose Midgam Institute has conducted surveys for Channel 12 for years, announced Motza'ei Shabbos that the firm is suspending its political work with the broadcaster. Geva made the announcement in an interview on the "Ofira Ochana Series" program, addressing the gap between the exit poll his institute released at 22:00 on election night and the actual results from the ballot boxes.

The suspension was disclosed when he was asked whether he would return for the next election campaign. "We made a decision at Midgam to suspend cooperation with Channel 12, and written notice has been sent. We think we need to take a break," he replied.

He said the institute would now examine how to proceed. Alongside the decision to suspend political work with Channel 12, he clarified that Midgam continues to conduct political polling in general. "We need to do our own thinking to see what is right for Midgam to do at this point. We continue to work in all areas, including politics," he said.

Later in the interview, Geva described the work with Channel 12 as demanding. He said it involved significant investment and took a toll on his energy.

"After such a long period in which we really succeed in bringing excellent results, I think the time has come to take a break," Geva said. In his response to the question about the next election campaign, he did not specify a date for resuming work with Channel 12.
