Terror Attack Reported at Tzomet Tapuah
This is a developing story.
A police officer and a civilian were injured today after being struck by a truck in a suspected terror attack.
Both victims remain conscious, while the assailant was shot at the scene and is currently reported in serious condition.
The Israel Police Spokesperson provided an initial report:
A short while ago, a truck rammed into a police force operating in the Tapuach Junction area and fled the scene.
Police officers from the Judea and Samaria (SJ) District who were called to the scene began a pursuit of the fleeing suspect. The driver was apprehended, along with another suspect who was in the vehicle with him.
One officer was injured in the incident. Currently, officers from the Ariel station are securing the scene, and an investigation into the circumstances of the event is underway.
