Seize Moment
Benny Gantz to Netanyahu: "Don't Come Back From Washington"
Amid left-wing criticism of Netanyahu's extended stay in the U.S., opposition lawmaker urges him to seize the moment and act decisively

As reports circulate that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may remain in Washington through the weekend, opposition leader Benny Gantz issued a dramatic public appeal: stay there—until a hostage deal is reached.
"Prime Minister," said Gantz in a video message, "do not return until there's a deal. Stay and apply pressure in Washington. Fly to Doha if you must. This opportunity must not be missed."
Gantz emphasized that Netanyahu has the backing of the Israeli people and promised political support as well.
"You have the nation’s support," he said. "You’ll have political backing too. As I’ve said before, bold and important moves won’t be blocked by petty politics."
Gantz’s statement came as some left-wing critics attacked Netanyahu for potentially extending his U.S. visit to include the weekend and even Shabbat.
It remains unclear whether Netanyahu will stay or return. As of now, reports suggest he intends to fly back to Israel later tonight.
