New dashcam footage has surfaced showing a second act of heroism during the deadly terrorist attack at Bondi Beach on December 14, 2025, where two gunmen killed 15 people at a Hanukkah celebration organized by Chabad.

The video, shared widely on social media, captures the moments as the attackers exited their vehicle on Campbell Parade. A man wearing a purple shirt is seen charging toward one of the gunmen, jumping on him in an attempt to disarm the assailant and wrestling for control of a rifle.

Tragically, both the man and his wife, who was with him, were shot and killed during the confrontation, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

This incident is separate from the widely praised actions of Ahmed al-Ahmed, a 43-year-old bystander who tackled and disarmed one of the shooters from behind in a different part of the scene, surviving despite being wounded.

Authorities have not yet publicly identified the couple in the purple shirt incident, and the investigation into the attack, declared an antisemitic terrorist act, remains ongoing.

The Bondi Beach massacre, carried out by a father-son duo using legally obtained firearms, has prompted national mourning and calls for heightened security and gun law reforms.
