A drone flew dangerously close to Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) while Air Force One, carrying President Trump, was taking off, prompting an immediate ground stop and the scrambling of helicopters to investigate the airspace.

Delta pilots announced the incident live to passengers, stating a drone had come too close during Air Force One’s departure and that helicopters had been dispatched. The ground stop halted all other aircraft movements for safety. Air Force One departed safely, and the ground stop has since been lifted with normal airport operations resuming.

No injuries were reported, and there has been no official statement yet from the FAA or Secret Service.
