A private Robinson R44 helicopter crashed at the Ashatli Park recreation center, a ski resort in Russia's Perm Krai region after becoming entangled in cables, resulting in the deaths of both occupants.

The incident occurred in the Bardymsky district near the village of Pechmen, with footage showing the aircraft snagging on ski lift cables or power lines before plunging to the ground.

The victims were identified as Ilyas Gimadutdinov, 41, founder of the transport company Tattranskom, and Elmir Konyakov, 40, head of the company's convoy. reddit.com Gimadutdinov was married with two daughters.

Initial reports suggested engine icing as a possible cause, but video evidence points to the collision with cables.

Russian authorities, including the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Rosaviatsiya, have classified the crash as a disaster and launched an investigation through the Interstate Aviation Committee.
