US President Donald Trump spoke Wednesday about a phone call he held with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the third anniversary of the October 7 massacre. Trump said he wished Netanyahu and the people of Israel well, and emphasized that those responsible for the attack are paying a heavy price for their actions.
"I spoke with Bibi Netanyahu and I wished him all the best, and I wished the people of Israel all the best," Trump said, using the prime minister's nickname.
The American president then addressed the October 7, 2023 attack directly and the price exacted in its wake. "It was a terrible day, a terrible tragedy," Trump said of the massacre.
Trump added a pointed message regarding those who carried out the attack: "The other side is paying a very heavy price for what they did on October 7, believe me."
