Tensions in the Persian Gulf have surged to a new breaking point today as Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf issued a direct threat to President Donald Trump, warning that the "new equation" regarding the Strait of Hormuz is becoming permanent.

"The Situation is Unbearable for America"

Addressing the ongoing U.S. naval blockade and the recent violations of ceasefire agreements, Qalibaf claimed that global energy security is now at severe risk.

"We know very well that the continuation of the current situation is unbearable for America," Qalibaf stated. "And yet, we haven't even begun."

The Speaker emphasized that the Iranian people have successfully "thwarted every plot" since day one of the conflict. He accused President Trump of attempting to divide the Iranian nation into "extremists and moderates" while using a maritime siege to force a surrender, a tactic he insists will fail through national unity.

Ground War Warning: "Prepare for Prisoners"

Adding to the escalatory rhetoric, senior Iranian official Mohsen Rezaee warned that any attempt by the U.S. to transition from aerial strikes to a ground invasion would be "devastating" for Washington.

Rezaee cautioned that if U.S. troops set foot on Iranian soil, they should expect a "large number of soldiers to be taken captive."

Operation "Project Freedom": The U.S. Stance

The threats come as the U.S. solidifies its massive military footprint in the region under Project Freedom. The operation currently includes:

Admiral Brad Cooper, Commander of U.S. Central Command, reported significant success in enforcing the blockade, noting that 42 vessels attempting to bypass the restrictions were intercepted and turned back.

Trump: "They Have Nothing Left"

In a defiant White House address, President Trump painted a picture of an Iranian military in total collapse.

The Looming Deadline

With the two-week ceasefire set to expire imminently, the world is watching the Strait of Hormuz, the strategic chokepoint for 25% of global oil supplies. While Trump signals a "short and powerful" wave of upcoming strikes to finish the job, Tehran’s "new equation" suggests they are prepared to turn the waterway into a permanent conflict zone.
