Iranian Protester Erfan Soltani (26) Released on Bail 

Although reports indicated that anti-regime protester Erfan Soltani had been tortured and executed by the regime, new reports now show that he has been released on bail.

Erfan Soltani, a 26-year-old Iranian man arrested during anti-regime protests last month and reportedly facing the death penalty, has been released on bail, according to his family and human rights organizations.

Soltani was detained on January 10 in Fardis, near Tehran, and charged with assembly and collusion against national security, as well as propaganda against the regime. His release on came after posting bail of two billion tomans (approximately £9,200 or $12,600), with family members confirming he is now back home and has received his belongings, including his cellphone.

The Norway-based Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, along with Iranian state media outlets like ISNA and Press TV, reported the development. A relative also verified the release to media sources.Soltani's case drew international attention amid widespread protests in Iran and U.S. warnings against executing demonstrators.

The release occurs against a backdrop of escalating tensions, with the regime facing domestic unrest and external demands to halt crackdowns on protesters.
