Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a large-scale military operation in Chenar village, Asadabad county, Hamedan Province, early Monday morning, detaining hundreds of residents including children and opening fire on civilians, according to eyewitness accounts and reports from Iran International.
The raid began around 4:30 a.m. local time, with security forces deploying dozens of armored vehicles, five mini-buses, vans, and heavy machine guns (DShK) positioned on rooftops, effectively besieging the village and cutting off internet access. Hundreds of villagers, men, women, and schoolchildren as young as 12, were arrested, many beaten and dragged away.
Detainees were paraded through the streets in vehicles with cage bars, chanting regime slogans like "Heydar Heydar," before being transferred to the Asadabad police station. Reports indicate screams were heard from inside the station, and several residents were shot, with multiple injuries confirmed.
