Two Israeli civilians in their 40s were killed in a single-vehicle car accident earlier this week in Malibu, Los Angeles. Following intensive efforts by ZAKA organization International volunteer Yossi Landau, alongside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and American authorities, the 2 bodies have been released. The caskets are expected to land in Israel within 48 hours for burial in Yavne and Ramla cemeteries.

Concurrently, ZAKA is working to release the bodies of three Israelis killed when a Piper PA-28 light aircraft crashed in a wooded area in Prince George's County, Maryland. The plane was traveling from Ocean City, New Jersey, to Montgomery County, Maryland, when it crashed near a residential neighborhood. The pilot and two passengers were the only people on board.

ZAKA volunteers are collaborating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, local authorities, and the "Mitaskim" organization to navigate the bureaucracy. Two of the victims will be buried in Israel, while the third will be buried in Toronto, Canada.

Alongside completing the repatriation of the two fatalities from Los Angeles, we are maximizing efforts to expedite the release of the plane crash victims to allow the families a swift and dignified burial."
