The incident occurred in Minneapolis, where Renee Nicole Good, a 32-year-old U.S. citizen, was shot and killed by an ICE agent during an attempt to serve a warrant. Authorities claim Good tried to drive into the agents, prompting the agent to fire in self-defense.
Video from the NYC protest captures the crowd also chanting "Save a life, kill ICE" and "Abolish ICE," directing ire at Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
Left-leaning leaders, including NYC Council Member Zohran Mamdani and Rep. Joaquin Castro, have decried the shooting as excessive force and demanded accountability from ICE, portraying Good as an unjust victim.
Noem and other officials have characterized the agent's response as justified self-defense against an act of domestic terrorism.
