Megyn Kelly 'Explains' to Piers Morgan Why She Hasn't Criticized Candace Owens | WATCH

As the conservative movement reels from Charlie Kirk’s assassination, Megyn Kelly tells Piers Morgan why she won’t denounce Candace Owens. But with Owens fueling "sinister" theories and clashing with Kirk’s widow, is Kelly’s private mediation actually a betrayal of the truth?

In a no-holds-barred interview with Piers Morgan on Uncensored, Megyn Kelly explained why she hasn’t joined the pile-on against Candace Owens. Kelly said the intense pressure on her to publicly denounce Owens is “all really about the Israel thing.”

She said, "I refused to condemn her because I was under pressure from these people who wanted me to and then that morphed into everything Candace said thereafter with which I may or may not have had serious problems, where's the condemnation?"

She drew a hard line, declaring, “I’d rather DIE than bend the knee to these people. I’d rather die than bend the knee. It won’t happen.”

She refused to criticize Owens just to score approval from critics, comparing it to her refusal to raise a fist for BLM.

On her SiriusXM show, Kelly added that she’s been working quietly behind the scenes to help broker a “detente” between Candace Owens and Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk’s widow. She chose not to “sling mud” publicly because she’s trying to mediate rather than escalate.

Kelly noted she has criticized Owens in the past and hasn’t had her on the show in years. She also claimed that she empathizes with Erika Kirk and rejects any conspiracy theories implicating TPUSA in Charlie’s assassination, but she’s prioritizing private resolution over performative attacks.

But let’s be honest: This is nonsense (and that's putting it mildly).

Kelly’s framing reduces serious, evidence-based pushback to Owens into some pro-Israel pressure campaign. Owens hasn’t just questioned policy, she’s spent months pushing conspiracy theories about Kirk’s September 2025 assassination with little to no hard proof, including suggestions of TPUSA insiders, cover-ups, and shadowy foreign influence tied to Israel. She’s admitted in interviews she lacks concrete evidence yet keeps amplifying it anyway, while publicly clashing with Kirk’s grieving widow. That’s not free speech heroism; it’s reckless division at the worst possible time for the conservative movement. The mediation excuse falls flat too.

Private talks are one thing, but staying publicly silent while Owens continues to smear people close to Kirk and flirt with antisemitic tropes (a pattern that predates this) isn’t independence. Plenty of conservatives have condemned this without “bending the knee” to anyone; they’re just rejecting conspiracy-mongering and hate that fractures the right.

Kelly has never been shy about calling out bad actors before. Pretending the only motive for criticizing Owens is Israel lobby arm-twisting dodges the real issue: some ideas deserve public rejection, full stop.

But Kelly doesn't care. No one is asking her to 'bend the knee', just to call out Candace's evil hateful conspiracy theories about the death of her so-called friend Charlie Kirk. With friends like these though, who needs enemies?
